ReHarm(ony) is to take an original piece of music and recreate/revise the harmony.

Launched in March 2016, ReHarm Music Group was created as a means to provide formal lessons on how to take existing music, recreate its approach, and change the harmony. In addition to teaching existing musicians how to hone their skills and enhance their sound, it is ReHarm’s mission to also provide tutorials to individuals who have the desire to learn the instrument.

About

MIKEDAVIS

Mike Davis

Hailing from the hills of Shelton, CT Michael (Mike) Davis started playing the keyboard at the age of 5. Unlike many other keyboard players, Mike had no formal training but always exhibited a deep desire for playing the keys, and for rearranging melodies & chords to create a unique, lasting harmony. He just had a natural knack for the keys, and by the age of 14 he became a well sought after musician who was requested to participate in different musical events.

Beyond solely playing the keys, Mike is also an accomplished Organist who had the honor of working with Gospel Recording Artist JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise on several of their albums, including "I See Victory," "After This," "Exalted...Live In Baltimore," & many more. Through his collaboration with Youthful Praise, Mike had the opportunity to play alongside recording artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Tye Tribbett, Jonathan Nelson, & Jason Nelson to name a few.

In 2016 he began online tutorials showing how to change the harmony of different songs and this was well received. What began as sharing snippets of his work, quickly morphed into something bigger and ReHarm Music Group was born.

BIOGRAPHY

Lessons will be provided by online tutorials and individual lesson plans, which will all be available by request. These instructional files are based on the skill level of the individual and will encompass learning the notes on the keyboard, learning the number system, & following through to learning the songs. For advanced levels, the files will indicate songs at regular speed and a slowed down speed to allow the user to learn step by step – the transitions. This allows for flexibility in usage of these transitions in any particular song.
